Boeke Courts (closed until May 1, 2025)

Outdoor open play at Boeke is “free” for Anchorage Pickleball members, non-members pay $10 per day. All children must sit on bleachers and be supervised. Please leave your pets in your car or at home. Become a member for $25 annual dues for adults and $15 annual dues for juniors.

Skill Level - Low Advanced 4.0 and Advanced 4.5+

Registration opens at 12:00 noon for “members only” for the following events on:

Thursday, 27 - Spring 3.5+ Ladder League (8 weeks 2/27-4/17)

6:45-8:45 pm - O’Malley Sports Center - $65 for members. Read description at top of this page. You will be assigned a court with 4 other players and play with each player. MARCH 2025

Monday, 3 - Spring 4.0 Shuffle (8 weeks 3/3-4/21)

Saturday, 22 - Tournament Preparation/Drills with Dave & Theresa Reeves (2 hr/5 weeks, 3/22-4/19)

9-11 am - Arctic Recreation Center - $250 for members ($25/hr) $350 for non-members. These sessions are for skill level 4.0+ (they will approve you for this skill level) Using two courts they will cover next-level dinking, resets, drops/drives, serves/returns, topspin/underspin and advanced level game situations including defensive skills and strategies. APRIL 2025

NEW Sat/Sun, 26/27 - Support Kidney Patients Pickleball Tournament

9 am. - UAA Old Gym - Register as an individual in 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+ divisions. Play mixed doubles round robin with different partners, then be paired with a permanent mixed doubles partner into a single elimination bracket. Registration opens March 31st at 6 a.m. on globalpickleball.network. 12 men/12 women slots in each division. Venmo $65 to Carmen Mason @bingerinalaska to secure your spot. NEW Sun, 27 - Boeke Clean Up

3 pm. - Boeke Outdoor Courts - Need labors to meet at Boeke Shed to off load equipment. Players with trucks meet at Tope Storage, labors meet at Boeke Shed. Questions contact Robin at 602-339-9914.

MAY 2025

NEW Mon, 12 - 4.0 Shuffle (15 weeks 5/12-8/18)

6-8 pm - Romig Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - $55 15 weeks of shuffle, come and go as you need. Register as an individual and play timed games and then “shuffle” to play with another partner.. We will not keep track of who is coming or not, just show up when you can play. We will allow drop ins, show up and if there is space, you can play for $5 members, $10 non-members. 24 slots available and registration will open on April 16.

NEW Wed, 14 - 4.0+ Team League (14 weeks 5/14-8/13)

6-9 pm - Boeke Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - $200 per team ($50 for members/$65 for non-members) Teams are composed of 2 men and 2 women players . If we do not get enough men players, Establish a team name and you can get shirts if you wish (at your expense). Register as a team and make one payment of $200. You will play each team twice and will play women’s doubles, men’s doubles, 2 mixed doubles and then a game where all the team members play. 7 weeks start time will be 6:00 p.m. 7 weeks start at 7:30 p.m. May use handicap system if needed. NEW Sat, 31 - Seasoned Seniors Tournament (must be age 55+)

10 a.m. - Boeke Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - $55 Register as an individual in higher skill division.. 24 slots available for higher level (12 men/12 women) 2 pools of 12 players (6 men/6 women) women will play round robin with all in the men in their pool. Based on individual points will then be paired up to play mixed doubles in a single elimination bracket. Registration will open on April 5 at 12 noon on globalpickleball.net.

JUNE 2025

NEW Sat, 7 - King/Queen of the Court Tournament

11 am-3 pm. - Boeke Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - Enter as individual and move up and down based on win/loss. The winning players on court one after two hours of timed games are the King/Queen of the court. Under 3.5 and 3.5+ skill levels. Registration will open on May 2. 24 slots for under 3.5 and 24 slots for 3.5+ divisions.

JULY 2025

NEW Fri, 4 - 4th of July Open Play and Potluck

11 am-3 pm. - Boeke Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - Free for members, $10 for non-members. Join us to celebrate Independence Day with openplay and a potluck. Merchandise for sale and door prizes for members. Bring a non-dessert dish to share.

AUGUST 2025

NEW Sat, 2 - Cinderella Fun Tournament

11 am-3 pm. - Boeke Outdoor Hockey Rink Courts - Enter as individual and play mixed doubles. Your partner will be selected by their shoe. Under 3.5 and 3.5+ skill levels. Registration will open on June 28. 24 slots for under 3.5 and 24 slots for 3.5+ divisions.

NEW Tue, 19 - Team League Party

6-8 pm. - Arctic Recreation Center - Season end team league party and potluck including open play for team league participants and subs.

SEPTEMBER 2025

NEW Mon, 1 - Labor Day Open Play and Barbecue
